Blind Dates And Women’s Self Defense
By“Maybe this is the right guy. Maybe I will really like him.” That is our hope when we accept an invitation from a friend to go out on a blind date that your friend has arranged. Be very, very cautious. That blind date can turn into a nightmare real quick.
We are so hopeful that the blind date will be magical that we do not even consider the possibility that something very bad could happen. At least not to us, right? It is always the infamous “other person” that those bad things happen to, but not us. That is why many times we fail to take simple proper precautions for our safety when going out on a blind date.
Do yourself a favor and take a few minutes to finish reading this article. Sometimes we just have to be reminded.
Blind dates can be great but we have all heard of one going terribly bad. We should take a women’s self defense course or at the least have some self defense weapons available.
There are self defense products you can have with you all the time. You can carry a Stun Gun, Pepper Spray, Personal Alarm or a TASER.
A blind date can be a lot of fun. They are usually arranged by a friend and you respect your friend’s judgement. Stop right here, make sure your friend really, really knows the person they are setting you up with. You don’t want to be on the blind date and find out that your friend doesn’t even know where your blind date lives.
Like it or not, when you are on a blind date you are vulnerable. Try to make the blind date a double date with the friend that set you up. Drive yourself to the date. Don’t depend on the blind date to drive you home. Carry some form of self defense with you. They are discreet so don’t worry about offending your date. You are just giving yourself options in case you need to use them.
Consider carrying a Stun Gun. They are small, nice looking and do the job. They are a non-lethal self defense weapon that will incapacitate an attacker. The Stun Gun sends high voltage but very low amperage electrical pulses into the attacker. This will disable him and give you time to make an escape from the dangerous situation. Don’t be concerned about carrying a stun gun because it looks like a weapon. They are now manufactured to look like many harmless items you might carry with you on a date. How about a stun gun that looks just like a regular old cell phone!
For great stopping power consider the TASER C2. It is small, looks great (even fashionable) and is easy to use. It will stop an attacker and give you the time necessary to get out of there.
A good women’s self defense product is Pepper Spray. You can carry this and no one will ever know. Pepper spray is available to look like a regular pager, a writing pen, even a lipstick case. You’ll be able to surprise your attacker and spray him right in the face to get the best results. As your attacker is lying on the floor writhing in pain you can run away and get out of danger.
Think about carrying pepper spray, a stun gun or a TASER BEFORE you find yourself in a dangerous situation on a blind date. You will be so glad you made the decision to be prepared for the worst on a blind date. It is always good to hope for the best, hey, it really might be “Mr. Right” that you meet, but be prepared for the worst and hope you never have to use your self defense product.
These items could actually save your life.
